Hans-Jurgen  Reulen, MD
HANS JURAGEN REULEN was born September 20, 1936 in Laichingen, Germany. He had his undergraduate training at Munich at the School of Medicine and his internship at Munich and elsewhere in Germany.

He thereafter had his training in neurosurgery under Professor K. Schurmann and worked in that institution for many years becoming the Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Ludwig Maximilian University at Munich in 1991.

He spent some time in research with Professor Walter Brendel and was at the National Institute of Health with J. Klatzo. He has published widely and traveled widely and has been a corresponding member of various neurosurgical societies and is on the editorial board of Acta Neurochirurgica.

His special interests are in brain edema, surgery of low grade astrocytomas, surgery in the motor and language areas and microanatomy. He retired from practice in 2001.

He is married and has three children.
