    Objectives:

    1. Know how neurosurgical emergencies presents
    2. Learn about the initial workup and treatment steps for he most common neurosurgical emergencies
    3. Recognize when to call for help

    Pre-Course Work:

    Deadline: Tuesday, July 14 at 5:00 pm EST

    1. Complete and Submit Survey: What Neurosurgical Emergencies Have You Seen?

    Post-Course Work:

    1. Visit the CNS case of the month website and complete one case

    Pre-Course Work for Friday:

    SUTURE WORKSHOP

    Equipment Needed for Friday:

    The following equipment will be needed for tomorrow's hands-on session. If any of the equipment is not available to you, please either share or watch the demonstration being performed by Dr. Quincey on Zoom.

    Each Intern will need the following equipment:
    Each Program will need the following equipment to be shared among all residents:
    • Needle Driver

    • Pickup

    • Scissors

    • Dura Repair

    • Pack of 4.0 Neurolon

    • Phone holder to record themselves

    • Gown and Gloves

    • Butterfly Needle

    • Skull Model

    • Spine Model

    • Shunt Valve

    • EVD Kit

    • ICP Monitoring Kit

    • LD Kit

    • Skull Model to pin if each individual resident doesn't have one

    • Perforator and one other drill bit (such as a matchstick or router)
